Cooking Demo with Nancy Wilson | Jefferson Parish Library
If you missed last night's Cuccidati Cooking Demo with Nancy Wilson on the West Bank, we have good news -- the presentation will be offered at the East Bank Regional Library (4747 West Napoleon Avenue in Metairie) on Wednesday, March 8, from 7 to 8:30 pm. The program is free and no registration is required.
Cuccidati are the popular fig-filled cookies that traditionally appear on St. Joseph's altars across Jefferson Parish and other communities in South Louisiana, a carryover from Sicilian immigrants. The word “cuccidati” means “little bracelet" in Italian, and the dough does indeed form a ring around the fruit filling.
Save your appetite for a free sample and join us for an evening of culinary history.
