Have you ever wanted to research your ancestry, but you don't know where to begin? Make a resolution in the new year to trace your family tree at a series of 15 Genealogy Workshops hosted by the East Bank Regional Library on Wednesdays from 1-3 p.m. beginning January 4 through April 12. Librarian Gwen Kelley, who specializes in genealogical research, will teach patrons how to research the US census, newspapers and obituaries, and databases of cemetery, military, immigration and prison records, along with digital resources such as ancestry.com, familysearch.org, Google, and Facebook.
The seminars are free and open to the public and no advance registration is required. For more information and the list of dates and seminar topics, visit http://bit.ly/3PpG6gn
