Tulane beach volleyball set for Tiger Beach Challenge this weekend

The Tulane beach volleyball team is set to participate in the Tiger Beach Challenge this weekend in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The event will be hosted by No. 12 LSU at the LSU Beach Volleyball Stadium and features teams such as No. 18 Washington, Southern Miss, Houston Christian, North Alabama, UAB, and Louisiana Monroe.

Tulane, currently ranked No. 20 in the TruVolley rankings, will play four matches during the tournament. On Friday, February 27, the Green Wave will compete against North Alabama at 11:45 a.m., followed by Houston Christian at 4:45 p.m. The team returns on Saturday to face UAB at 10:30 a.m. and finishes with Southern Miss at 3:30 p.m.

Last weekend, Tulane began its season at home with a record of two wins and three losses during the Green Wave Invitational held at White Sands Volleyball Courts. Notable performances included Skylar Ensign and Molly Trodd securing a win over LSU in the second flight on day one. On day two, Katie Hansen and Emma Morris led Tulane to victories against Oregon and New Orleans with three sweeps in the top flight.

Following the Tiger Beach Challenge, Tulane’s schedule continues with participation in the Chanticleer Challenge hosted by Coastal Carolina starting Friday, March 6.
