The City of Kenner is set to reopen its offices on Friday, January 24th, following a winter storm. Mayor Michael Glaser confirmed that the offices will operate from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The Kenner City Council meeting will proceed as planned at 11 am in Heritage Hall.
Mayor Glaser expressed gratitude towards city employees and emergency services for their response during the storm. "I would like to recognize and thank all of the essential City of Kenner employees who were outstanding in response to this winter storm. In addition to Kenner’s city employees, I would also like to thank the Kenner Police and Fire Departments as well. We are grateful for your dedication and hard work," he stated.
Efforts by Public Works and General Services crews continue to restore roadways and infrastructure. Chief Conley and the Kenner Police Department remain focused on maintaining roadway safety.
Curbside garbage collection will return on its regular schedule, while recycling services will cover both Thursday's and Friday's routes.
