Effective September 23, 2024, Jefferson Parish Transit will assume responsibility for the RTA 201 Kenner Loop. The transition will introduce new buses and updated bus stop signage, though service continuity is assured. The route and schedule remain unchanged except for an additional stop. The E201 Kenner Loop will now detour from Treasure Chest Casino to a new stop at the Social Security Office on Joe Yenni Blvd.
The Kenner Loop services areas including Kenner River Town, Treasure Chest Casino, Esplanade Shopping Center, Ochsner Hospital in Kenner, Walmart Supercenter #1342, and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. Riders can track the loop via RTA’s Le Pass Transit App, excluding the Social Security Office portion. JPTransit plans to update its Transit Smart System by January 2025 to include this location.
