Kenner, La. - The American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall will be coming to Kenner's Veterans Park on May 17-19, 2024, to honor and remember the sacrifices of American soldiers. The tribute will feature the Traveling Vietnam Wall and the Cost of Freedom Tribute, with a focus on educating current and future generations about the nation's historical past.

The Traveling Vietnam Wall, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., will bear the names of 58,307 U.S. soldiers who lost their lives during the Vietnam War. In addition, the Cost of Freedom Tribute will include smaller panels commemorating American sacrifices from various conflicts spanning the 20th and 21st centuries, including WWI, WWII, 9-11, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

The exhibit will open to the public on Friday, May 17, 2024, with an opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to pay their respects at all hours until the tribute closes on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.

Organizers are also offering sponsorship opportunities for the American Veterans Tribute Wall. Various sponsorship tiers, including Platinum, Gold, and Silver, are available to help offset the costs associated with bringing the tribute to Kenner. Interested parties can find more information on sponsorships on AVTT's website.

For those with additional questions or who are interested in volunteer opportunities for the event, they can reach out to Carolyn Barrett at Visit Kenner by email or phone.

The American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall aims to create a space for honor, respect, and remembrance, ensuring that the sacrifices of American service members are never forgotten.
