Residents who see homeless individuals living on public or private property in Jefferson Parish are asked to report it to the Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority (JPHSA) by calling 504-584-8578.
Through its Homeless Peer Outreach Support Program, JPHSA will:
Provide connection to needed services with JPHSA and/or other Jefferson Parish providers, including primary and mental health care, substance abuse treatment and assistance with meeting basic needs
Identify available and appropriate housing programs and assist individuals with meeting eligibility requirements
Receive referrals identified through community stakeholders and coordinated outreach efforts from the JPHSA Peer Support Specialists and build relationships and trust within the community
Provide case management services
