Senator Bernie Sanders, an Independent from Vermont and the Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pension (HELP), will lead a roundtable discussion focused on vaccines and public health. This event is scheduled for Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

The discussion aims to address the role of vaccines in safeguarding public health across America. It will feature several notable medical professionals as panelists. Among them are Dr. Paul Offit, Director of the Vaccine Education Center and professor of pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; Dr. Joshua Sharfstein, Vice Dean for Public Health Practice and Community Engagement at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health; Dr. Gregg Gonsalves, Associate Professor of Epidemiology at Yale School of Public Health; and Catherine Kennedy, President of both the California Nurses Association and National Nurses United, who also serves as a staff nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Kaiser Permanente Roseville.

The roundtable will be accessible via livestream on Senator Sanders’ social media platforms.
