Sanders and colleagues set to reintroduce PRO Act for worker rights

Senator Bernie Sanders, alongside Representative Bobby Scott and other congressional leaders, announced a press conference to reintroduce the Richard L. Trumka Protecting the Right to Organize Act (PRO Act). This legislation aims to enhance workers’ rights to organize for improved wages, benefits, and workplace safety.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5 at 3:00 p.m. ET in Room 50 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building. The press conference will also be available via livestream on Sanders’ social media platforms.

Participants include Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Rep. Bobby Scott (D-Va.), Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.), Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.), AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler, and Kieran Cuadras from Wells Fargo Workers United.
