The Krewe of Isis, founded in 1973 in Kenner, holds the distinction of being the oldest and largest all-female Mardi Gras organization in Jefferson Parish. The parade traditionally features 250 female riders, 21 floats, and 10 marching bands or dance teams.

Renowned for its vibrant floats and elaborately dressed participants, the Krewe of Isis is well-known for distributing beads, decorated bras, and other unique items during their festivities.
