Annually, about two and a half weeks before Mardi Gras, the Krewe of Driftwood organizes a parade in the Driftwood neighborhood. Residents come together to form groups and create “block” or “street” floats. These floats are often trailers pulled by trucks or even boats on trailers. Families participate by decorating the beds of pick-up trucks for children to enjoy.

The parade includes a themed competition where judges select the best floats. This event resembles a neighborhood-wide block party, promoting community spirit and celebration.

The parade is scheduled to roll at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 15th.
