There was a single gas station in cities across Jefferson Parish selling diesel at the lowest price of $2.90 per gallon in the week ending Dec. 14, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.com.
The average reported cost of diesel in cities within Jefferson Parish was $3.29 per gallon.
Of the 173 reported gas stations in cities within Jefferson Parish, 49 offer diesel.
The $3.16 average reported price of diesel in Louisiana was unchanged from the previous week.
Drivers across the U.S. have faced a rollercoaster of gas prices in recent months and years. Though the cost of a gallon of gas is dropping, experts suggest they may rise to $4 before the end of 2024.
