U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, representing Louisiana and serving as the ranking member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, issued a statement regarding President Trump’s decision to nominate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for the position of Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Senator Cassidy acknowledged Kennedy’s advocacy for issues such as healthy foods and transparency within public health infrastructure. “RFK Jr. has championed issues like healthy foods and the need for greater transparency in our public health infrastructure,” he stated.

Cassidy expressed interest in further understanding Kennedy’s policy positions and their alignment with a conservative agenda. “I look forward to learning more about his other policy positions and how they will support a conservative, pro-American agenda,” said Dr. Cassidy.
