Census Bureau: 77.7% of people in Jefferson Parish were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 439,402 citizens living in Jefferson Parish in 2021, 77.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 341,453 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 163,531 were male, constituting 47.9%, and 177,922 were female, making up 52.1%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Jefferson Parish during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 76.4%.
